    ShowMeDo hosts several series on Introductory Ruby topics. This ‘Ruby Introductions’ series by Chinmoy Gavini:

    is very good.

    Chinmoy covers many topics for the beginner. I know that these aren’t eBooks but the content is just as useful. We have some other Ruby (and Rails) screencasts, all free, all very educational:
