Dear Stephan,

Thank you very much for you comment. Naturally, EUROKU deserves its rightful place, due to its efforts to bring European Rubyists together. Indeed, an international conference of such a scale and magnitude is something that many developers are looking forward to. The Rubyists.EU crew has also acknowledged that, as we are following EUROKU on Twitter ;)

It would be a real honor if we can join forces in the future and eventually come to Poland next year. After all, our mission and our goals somehow overlap. We are all trying to promote and facilitate the smooth adoption of the Ruby language in Europe. Together, we can probably do so much better.

Hi Satish,

Thanks for the article. I think that European Rubyists integrate pretty well in the world wide community. Given the large number of countries, languages & cultures in a comparatively small area, 'we' Europeans are learning how to integrate with ... ourselves ;-)

Anyway, when talking about Ruby & Europe I think the EURUKO should be mentioned as well. As far as I know it started as the "Europäische Ruby Konferenz" in Karlsruhe - and immediately turned from German only into international (read: English speaking) - while keeping the original 'EURUKO' as the name. (At least to some Europeans it looks Japanese(ish)) to also give a link to Ruby's origin.
Next year, BTW, the EURUKO will be held in Kraków, Poland.
(After being held in Germany for a while it started moving across Europe: We've already been guests in Vienna, Prague & Barcelona. )
